Access |
By appointment by phone or by E-mail at: Univ. Prof. Dr. Eng. Doina Frunzăverde Phone: (0730) 583 007 E-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. CCHAPT's qualified staff can perform microscopic metallographic analyzes on request, both for UBB employees and for third parties. The applicable rates take into account both the preparation of metallographic samples for examination by the optical microscope, as well as the effective structural analyzes and the drafting of related reports. |
Hours of operation
|
From Monday to Friday, between 8:00 and 16:00, excluding holidays |
Areas of use |
The metallographic light microscope is used for the microstructural analysis of metallic materials. With its help, the following can be visualized: the morphology of the structural constituents (their shape, size, orientation and proportion), compactness defects, non-metallic inclusions etc. existing in the microstructure of metallic materials. The metallographic light microscope is also used in metallographic failure analyze carried out for economic agents in order to establish the cause that led to the destruction of machine parts during processing or exploitation or for carrying out industrial calitative analyzes. |
Involvement of the equipment in teaching activities |
The metallographic light microscope is used to support: - laboratory activities carried out with students for the disciplines:
- activities for the completion of studies at the undergraduate and master's cycles; - doctoral research activities. |
