Features and performance

The Mecmesin Multitest 2.5 – dV mechanical testing machine, with a testing capacity of 2500 N, allows the performance of mechanical tensile and three-point bending tests for polymeric, elastomeric and composite materials. Command, control and data processing are done through the Vector Pro MT software.

The software offers the possibility of configuring tensile, compression, bending tests; Drawing force-elongation diagrams; Testing to predetermined limit values of force or displacement; Calculation of specific stresses and strains; Plotting specific stress-strain diagrams: Experimental determination of Young's modulus; Determination of flow limit; Calculation of conventional yield strength.

General characteristics: Tensile - compression testing machine, with a testing capacity of 2500 N, intended for tests on plastic materials, polymers, composites, sheets, etc. (tests according to ISO 527, ASTM D638, ISO 178).

Machine features: Control of test programs from dedicated software installed on external PC; Data acquisition (force, displacement) and data processing in dedicated software installed on external PC; Travel: 500 mm; Movement accuracy: ±0.13mm for a stroke of 300 mm; Positioning resolution: 0.001mm; Working speed: adjustable between 0.1 - 1200 mm/min; Speed accuracy ±0.2% of indicated speed; Speed resolution: 0.1mm/min.

Force cell features: Capacity: 2500 N (identical to the machine's maximum capacity); Interchangeable force cell with quick mounting on test machine (adapters included); Measurement accuracy: ± 0.5% of the measured value over the range between 5-100% of the maximum capacity of the force cell.

Software features: Software that allows configuration and control of test programs (including test cycles), acquisition, processing and export of data in Microsoft Excel format and other common formats (eg .dat, .pdf); Tension/deformation control.

Access

Qualified personnel can perform, on request, mechanical tests (in the field of forces of the equipment) both for UBB employees and for third parties.

The rates applied take into account the related material and personnel expenses. Access is by appointment (at least 7 days in advance) at:
